Kris Aquino, the new face of Figlia
Kristina Bernadette Cojuangco Aquino commonly known as KRIS AQUINO (born February 14, 1971), the youngest daughter of former Philippine senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. and Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino, who served as the 11th President of the Philippines, and sister of Benigno Aquino, III, the current President of the Philippines, Filipino television and movie personality who gained prominence from her talk shows, game shows, and numerous endorsements.
She is tagged “Queen of all Media” because of her success in multimedia (television, movies, recording, publishing, and product endorsements). Advertisers rely on Aquino’s gift of gab, confidence, and charisma to effectively endorse their products and services.
Kris is certainly the favorite among endorsers in the Philippines. In fact, she is always named top celebrity endorser by most surveys and YES! the country's leading entertainment magazine. According to Yes Magazine, Kris is a favorite of advertisers because “she’s very easy to work with, and is very professional, arriving for a shoot prepared, with her lines memorized.” But Kris’s best asset is that “she connects well with consumers, whatever bracket of society they belong to.”

Celebrity endorsers continue to be a potent influencer in consumer purchases, as a study conducted by market research consulting company Synergy Business Consultancy revealed that 67% of its respondents bought a product or availed of a service due to a celebrity endorser. “If you’re in a controversy, it pays to be the aggrieved party. Such is the case with Kris Aquino. Much as a celebrity figured in a controversy, it seems that credibility to endorse may in fact be a good boost if he or she is considered the underdog. This is a very Filipino trait that we observe in our country,” said Germaine Reyes, Managing Director of Synergy.
