Iya is mostly credited as one of contemporary Philippine television's most visible and prominent personalities having shared the hosting spotlight in Philippine TV shows such as ASAP, Wowowee and U Can Dance Version 2, which she co-hosts on ABS-CBN.

Iya is currently a VJ for the Philippine music video channel Myx. Iya wears Figlia shoes.
